Tom Monkhouse
After a year of peace and quiet meditation in Eynesbury, Tom decided that was enough of that and he wanted carefully crafted chaos instead and joined the St Neots Players in 2014. When not prancing around on stage, Tom solves the intense and important problems that plague Cat Flaps and Cat Feeders by fiddling with bits and poking at chips. His efforts are much aided by his test subject and friend, Mr Snuggles, an enormous black cat who happens to benefit from this arrangement. This performance is dedicated to the Ginger Ninja. You may never see him, as long as you’re red colourblind.
Tom has been involved with St Neots based amateur dramatics since 2014, making his debut onstage for St Neots Players Up ’n’ Under (2014) that year. Tom has appeared in other productions for St Neots Players since then, including his favourite Sense & Sensibility where he played Mr Palmer – his favourite role to date! Tom has also been involved backstage, directing Rapunzel the Panto, and serving on the committee for both Players and VAMPS – with a stint as St Neots Players’ Chairman. Tom is also heavily involved with our sister society VAMPS of St Neots, his first production was The Addams Family in 2015, and since then has appeared in six other productions including 2018’s Legally Blonde for which he won Best Supporting Male Performer as Nikos.
Outside amdram, Tom makes cat flaps for a living – and for fun! In his spare time he fiddles with games, and sings to his cat.
