Amy Saffrette

Amy is thrilled to be returning to her theatre family St Neots Players after a long break. Since her last appearance Amy has taken on the biggest role ever…becoming a mum to her first child, a little boy in 2021. She has also taken a leap in work career by saying goodbye to 15 years of working in the Childcare sector and starting a new career as a Civil Servant. Amy is looking forward to sharing the stage with old friends and new. Amy joined St Neots Players in 2019 having watched the 2017 panto Rapunzel, and knew as soon as she had joined that she had found her amdram family. Since then Amy has taken on roles such as Jessica Steele in A Bunch of Amateurs (2019), Genie in Aladdin (2020), and was slated to play Midge Harvey in The Hollow (2020) which was unfortunately cancelled due to COVID. Performance is in Amy’s blood, having performed in many plays, musicals, ballets, and pantomimes since she was 7, with credits such as Annie in Stage Stuck Youth Theatre’s Annie (1997), Head Scientist and Crystal Understudy in Northbrook Performance College’s production of Little Shop of Horrors (2005), and Mrs Medlock in Horsham School of Dance’s Secret Garden Ballet in 2010.

Amy wishes to dedicate her performances in Jack and The Beanstalk (2023) to her amazing husband Martin, who has helped her through thick and thin. Amy would also like to dedicate her performances to her young son Toby, who will be coming to see mumma perform for the 1st time and will be experiencing his first live theatre performance ever!
