Mel Wilcox

Mel joined the St Neots Players’ for the 2021 panto Sleeping Beauty which marked not only her directoral debut but also her acting debut as Fauna the Fairy – with a co-writer credit being the cherry on top! Now Mel is back to direct Silly Cow.

Outside of St Neots, Mel has been involved with numerous other amdram societies, including BATS (Biggleswade Amateur Theatrics Society) where she has taken on various roles including director, stage manager, writer, performer, and production manager for numerous productions – including directing and performing in the NODA award winning production of Steel Magnolias (Best Play 2018). Mel has also directed and performed with PUDS, CTTA, and most recently made her debut with our sister society VAMPS of St Neots for Showstoppers 6 – where she had a couple of lead vocal roles including a solo.

Mel would like to dedicate her performance to her family – who have helped her to build back confidence after a long gap, and who now support this crazy performance addition she has!
